I love to write. Always have, always will!
I wrote my first “novel” in the 5th grade (a Mean Girls inspired drama scribbled onto a bunch of loose leaf pages in one of my school binders), and I knew then I wanted to be a writer when I grew up.
I studied journalism, English, and creative writing in college. I got my first writing gig at That! Company as an SEO copywriter for local businesses in 2014. A couple years later, I worked as a beat reporter for two local newspapers, The Daily Commercial and The Villages Daily Sun.
I loved meeting new people and telling their stories…but I didn’t love the hectic (and often competitive) newsroom.
In January 2020, I launched Words by Marian to help other women entrepreneurs write their strategic content without burnout.
